Honesty, Transparency, and Independence – that’s what every elected official should have and it’s what Bellevue desperately needs from our City Council.
I’m Steve Fricke and I'm running for Bellevue City Council because we deserve elected leaders who listen to the needs of the community. For too long residents have been ignored. Enough is enough, it’s time for real reform in Bellevue.
As your Councilmember, I will focus on our neighborhoods. That means opposing the currently proposed location for the Eastgate homeless shelter. As a former Deputy King County Criminal Prosecutor, I understand the problems this shelter location would create for neighboring homes, businesses, and families. Those in need in our community deserve our support, and we must work to find a location to provide the services to get people off the streets and on their feet and balancing those needs with safety and home values. The Eastgate location is not right for the community or those we are seeking to help. We can and must do better.
I’m Steve Fricke, engineer, attorney, and community volunteer. I live in Lake Hills with my wife and our two wonderful children, and I'm running for Bellevue City Council so residents have an honest voice on the City Council. Join me in bringing real reform to Bellevue.
