Honesty, Transparency, and Independence – that’s what every elected official should have and it’s what Bellevue desperately needs from our City Council.
I’m Steve Fricke and I'm running for Bellevue City Council because we deserve elected leaders who listen to the needs of the community. For too long residents have been ignored. Enough is enough, it’s time for real reform in Bellevue.
As your Councilmember, I will focus on our neighborhoods. That means opposing the currently proposed location for the Eastgate homeless shelter. As a former King County Criminal Prosecutor I understand the problems this shelter location would create, and as the head of the girls’ lacrosse program for all of East Bellevue I don't want to have to worry about my daughter and her friends - all of our children - walking home from practice in the midst of a men's homeless shelter just blocks from the parks where our children play. We can and must do better.
I’m Steve Fricke, engineer, attorney, and community volunteer. I live in Lake Hills with my wife and our two wonderful children, and I'm running for Bellevue City Council so residents have an honest voice on the City Council. Join me in bringing real reform to Bellevue.
